Dec/20 - Festive Deliveries

In light of all the hard work and dedication from our team at Vital throughout this COVID impacted year, we’re doing things a little differently this year. To enable our essential team to recover and recharge we are despatching goods on set days over the festive period.

Festive Period Delivery Schedule

  • Order by 11 am on Monday 21st December for delivery on Tuesday 22nd December
  • All orders placed after 1pm on 21st December will be delivered on 5th January 2021

We will be operating with limited staff over the festive period so please continue to reach out to us to place your orders ready for the new year;

It has been a tough year but with a vaccine on the near horizon, we can all look forward to 2021 with renewed optimism.

So, we are wishing all our customers and their families a healthy and happy Christmas and New Year. Take time over the festive period to relax and reset. We look forward to seeing you in 2021!

 

 


 

Dec/20 - Delivery Charges

As you are aware, recent months have been a challenging time for all key businesses and the COVID-19 situation has forced us to continually look at our operational  capacities across the business. In order to continue serving your business at the high standards you have now come to expect from us, we need to ensure we can continue to do so while having to adhere to restrictions and the capacity constraints imposed upon our supply chains. 

As a result we are pleased to advise you that we will continue to be able to offer your business continued free deliveries on all your orders, however they must meet £350 ex VAT minimum spend.  What this means for you is that from 1st January 2021, free delivery will be available as follows;

  • England & Wales:                                                        
    • Free Delivery on orders over £350 excluding VAT
    • Free Delivery on Express Pick™ orders over £60 excluding VAT
    • £35 carriage charge for V Priority™ orders under £350 excluding VAT
  • Scotland, Borders and non-mainland UK:            
    • Free Delivery on orders over £650 excluding VAT
    • Free Delivery on Express Pick™ orders over £60 excluding VAT
    • £35 carriage charge for V Priority™ orders under £350 excluding VAT

Our ExpressPick™ service, offering access to thousands of products on a next day delivery service, which is now available to  all customers with free delivery on orders over £60 excluding VAT.  A £10 delivery charge will be applied to ExpressPick orders under £60 excluding VAT.

Rest assured these changes and your continued support will help to ensure we continue to support your business in the best possible way.

31/08/20 - Summer Bank Holiday

Vital Offices, Operations and Transport will be closed on Monday 31st August for the Summer bank holiday .

  • Last chance to order will be 1pm on Friday 28th for delivery Tuesday 1st Sept  - NO FROZEN ORDERS
  • Frozen orders  - order Thursday 27th for delivery Friday 28th or Tuesday 1st for delivery Wed 2nd
  • Any orders sent on Monday 31st will be picked on Tuesday 1st for delivery Wed 2nd

We are encouraging all customers to place orders early to ensure they have adequate stock for the bank holiday weekend.

 


 

21/05/20 - Spring Bank Holiday

Vital Offices, Operations and Transport will be closed on Monday 25h May for the Spring bank holiday .

Last day to order will be Friday 22nd May for delivery on Tuesday 26th

We are encouraging all customers to place orders early to ensure they have adequate stock following the bank holiday weekend.

 


 

20/04/20 - Annual Stock Take

Valued Customers , We would like to give you advance notice so we minimise any impact to your business , that our operations team are conducting their annual stock take of our Exeter warehouse on Wednesday 29th April and Thursday 30th April.  This means our warehouse have planned not to pick orders on those days and as a result we will not be making deliveries on Thursday 30th  April or Friday 1st of May.

20/04/20 - May Bank Holiday

Vital Offices, Operations and Transport will be closed on Friday 8th May for the early May bank holiday .

Last day to order will be Thursday 7th May for delivery on Monday 11th

We are encouraging all customers to place orders early to ensure they have adequate stock for the bank holiday weekend.

 


 

08/04/20 - Easter Office Hours

We will be closed on Good Friday and Easter Monday this year so that the teams who have been working extra shifts to keep up with demand can have some time with their families but you can still place your orders through our website as normal.

Orders received up to 1pm on Thursday 9th April will be processed for delivery from Tuesday 14th.

Orders received after 1pm on Thursday 9th April will be processed when we return on the Tuesday 14th

We know it’s challenging out there as a result of the COVID-19 situation. So, they’ve pooled their industry knowledge and come up with a few tips and reminders about useful retail strategies to help you survive and even thrive. Here is their 7-point plan;

1.Deliver direct to the local community

Think about whether you can offer direct delivery in the local area. Online grocery slots are selling out as people become ever more careful of the risks involved in mixing with others in enclosed spaces. Call in advance to ensure you can implement social distancing at the point of delivery to help you stay safe. This is more than a revenue generator because by ensuring the vulnerable people have options when it comes to feeding their pet, you will build the kind of goodwill your business will rely on in recovery.

Our turn to support you…

In response to the COVID-19 outbreak, we’re pleased to announce that we have set up a dedicated Lifeline Fund to enable our loyal retailer customers to access extended credit terms. We appreciate that you have supported Vital over the last two years through its testing times so now it’s our turn to support you.

Helping to secure your future

While the government has made promises to help the self-employed and employed workers, there’s still a great deal of anxiety over what the future holds for the pet trade. The supply chain has been recognised as an essential business and we are still working to fill the need, as well as service the demand created by panic buying. We believe it’s a time when we all have to pull together and think of others.

17/03/20 - Covid-19 Statement

Dear valued customer

Vital has been busy planning its response to the coronavirus outbreak over the last few weeks. We appreciate that everyone is very worried, and we are doing all we can to ensure continuity of supply for pet product retailers.

We have entered unprecedented territory and have been experiencing exceptionally high levels of demand across the country.  To help manage order flow we will ask you to bear with us as some deliveries may take an extra day or two to arrive at your premises.  We will do our very best to keep our communication open and regular regarding the status of your order.
